Sponsorship Program

The Port of Portland is an integral part of the communities where we operate, and we are committed to playing an active role in supporting and enhancing the businesses and communities in our region. For more than 20 years, the Port has supported the community through the sponsorship of events, programs, and activities.

Program Goals

Port sponsorships primarily focus on organizations and activities that support community impact in the following areas:

• Workforce, Career, and/or Leadership Development
• Small Business Development
• Environmental Leadership
• Community Economic Development
• Placekeeping and Culture

Submission Procedure:

• Review eligibility criteria carefully
• Requestors must fully complete the Sponsorship Request Application
• Please respond to all questions
• Submission and Selection

Applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis: 

Quarter 1:

• August 1st - Application Deadline 
• September 9th - Selection Announcements

Quarter 2:

• November 1st - Application Deadline 
• December 9th - Selection Announcements

Quarter 3:

• February 1st - Application Deadline 
• March 9th - Selection Announcements

Quarter 4:

• May 1st - Application Deadline
• June 9th - Selection Announcements

The Community Impact Sponsorship Budget for FY 2026 (starting July 1, 2025) is $100,000. 

Sponsorship awards typically range between $1,000 - $5,000.
